Should I message a user or request a document in Corix?
Learn when administrators should send a message versus a document request in Corix, and how to send each from an application.
Overview
Corix allows administrators to communicate with users directly and request additional documentation when needed. Both are available from an application: go to the Application List and select an application.

When to send a message
Use a message when you need to:
- Ask a question about an application
- Provide a status update
- Clarify submitted information
- Communicate next steps
Messages are best used when no supporting documentation is required from the user.
When to request a document
Use a document request when additional documentation is needed to continue processing an application. Common examples include:
- Proof of residency
- Bank statements
- Identity verification documents
- Other supporting compliance documentation
Document requests help clearly identify what information is needed from the user.
